Summary: Stephan Doitschinoff composes visual narratives through religious and political signs, representations of entheogenic plants and anagrams that now indicate liturgical fragments sometimes alchemical inscriptions. He works reframing icons and symbols to trigger a reflection about the control exercised by dominant institutions and ideologies. His artistic propositions advance beyond the frame and experience relations with the site and the viewer to suggest new ways to look at the world. The theoretical reflections of Miwon Kwon, Claire Bishop and Nicolas Bourriaud, lead our discussions about the links between the specificities of the site and the possibilities of participation presented to us in Doitschinoff's works: Temporal (2008), Novo Asceticismo (2009), Brilho do Sol (2011) and Cras do Micélio (2013).
