Summary: This work analyzes the woodcuts Calderão series (1986-1996) from the teacher Adir Botelho (1932- ). As this is a work in which war, politics and religion mix their symbolic loads invite us to travel for long and different paths traced by the artist and gouge that light up with the collaboration of poets and philosophers such as Fernando Pessoa and Foucault. Cauldron is a series WHERE action, feeling and meaning are merged and result in antagonism forces. The composition is firm in these dynamic, deformed figures and surprises us with pictures that express concepts and emotions that project in our modern world, with its combination of forces, movements and tensions.
