Summary: The objective of this research is to fill an existing gap in the development of creative strategies and methodologies in teaching art in Basic Education, aiming to stimulate creativity through the use of digital images in High School classes. To this end, pedagogical practices were designed based on the "Creative Strategies" developed by De La Torre (2005), aiming to explore the educational potential of digital images. This is because studies show that deficiencies in teenagers' digital skills challenge the preconception that they are automatically proficient in technology, thus highlighting the imperative of a critical approach in the context of digital education. In order to resolve them, two didactic strategies for creating images, using digital images, were thoroughly analyzed, both showing a significant potential to foster the development of creativity, critical reflection and student autonomy, with emphasis on the one that incorporates the strategies of De La Torre (2005), which provides a broader range of possibilities for students. Furthermore, this research investigates the benefits and challenges intrinsic to the integration of digital technologies in education, highlighting the relevance of critical reflection to optimize the benefits and ensure an inclusive and meaningful approach to student development.
