Summary: This research has as object of study the trajectory of the multimedia artist Rubiane Maia (Caratinga, 1979). Aiming at a more circumscribed cut, and having as theoretical support the barthesian notion of biographeme, she focuses on the analysis of the relations between art and life that permeate the artist's poetic construction, between the years 2006 and 2016 - an interval that comprises her first ten years of career. Therefore, it seeks to investigate in the multiple procedural records of Rubiane Maia - personal and artistic - the displacements of her poetic project, taking into account in what concerns the uniqueness of the ways in which the artist arranges the hybrid art-life- work that crosses the field of his artistic know-how, also inserting it in the context of contemporary art. Our hypothesis is that the creative processes of this artist produce certain registers and residues, present in the interstices of her performative actions, which allow to place in perspective the intentions revealed of an ethical work about herself, a policy of herself, a creation of herself that, making art processes life sensations, seeks to deal with ways of living, with the art of living. Thus, connected with the details and discontinuity that permeate the artistic-existential territory of this artist, and supported by the methodological assumptions of what Sandra Mara Corazza (2010) calls biographematic method, this research is an invitation to approach the main lines of poetic strength by Rubiane Maia - one of the relevant names in the recent history of the arts in Espírito Santo, with national and international projections. Our effort here goes towards putting the whole of Rubiane Maia's work into circulation; giving visibility to their production, as well as rescuing the importance and power of these works, in order to present them to future generations.
