Summary: This research presents a dialogue between eroticism, pornography and obscenity, using these terms as structuring elements to perform critical analysis of a specific series of drawings by the contemporary artist Gil Vicente. Firstly, the dissertation investigates the conceptuation of these terms, establishing points of connection between them and the visual arts, through works of artists from modern art to contemporaneity. In a second moment, he spoke about the relationship between the design, the cordel literature and the erotic literature, dealing with censorship in writing until we arrived at the current art exhibitions. At the end, he undertook a reading of the trajectory of the artist Gil Vicente, and comments about the tenuous line that divides the two pathways erotic/pornography in the series of drawings Shameless Suite, object of this research.
