Summary: The dissertation seeks to approximate the relationship between eroticism and photography in the Latin American context. Concept and technique (eroticism and photography) they have a long relationship history that the work tries to explain until arriving at contemporary Latin American photography. The dissertation presents, first, a brief historical context about the image
- photography - erotic relationship. In a second moment, he collects the conceptual discussion about what the erotic is to suggest that today, possibly and contrary to common sense, we do not live in a hyper-eroticized society, but rather the other way around. In the end, I propose a dialogue between some Latin American photographers who work on eroticism as the central
theme of their works to ask whether Latin American photography has a debt to eroticism.
