Summary: The present dissertation master's degree aims to discuss the way in which laboratory procedures currently existing in society impact the field of art. The art made in laboratories, called Bioarte, constitutes the central point of the proposed questioning. In order to discuss issues that currently involve the category, will be analyzed works of some artists, in particular: Eduardo Kac. To that end, it is assumed that the technological changes did not only impact the social field, but that this triggering affected all the niches of society, including art. Initially, a theoretical-artistic outline will be made regarding these modifications, which will help the visualization of the path traveled by the art until the reach of Bioarte. Then, we will start the discussions that involve problems brought about by scientific practices. We will finish with the ethical stance through the practices of Eduardo Kac, investigating in a marked way the load of works in this range of scientific uncertainties.
