Summary: This text sheds light on the consumption of art as of the modernist break period, the emergence of an independent market to the official recognition and the reorganization of the operating structures of the art field situated on the initial temporal and spatial area located in Paris after 1850. Its main focus is in the discussion of relationships, processes and art legitimization of logic located in traffic production / mediation / consumption. Also, the identification and discussion of the mainstream speech that began to dominate the art field and the organizational dynamics amongst mediator agents - experts and institutions - for the production for the belief in the value of art and the construction of its social legitimacy.
