Summary: This research aims to reflect about the graffiti production by girls in the state of Espírito Santo with an emphasis on its capital Vitoria. Within this topic four different crews were addressed focusing the studies on the collective called "DasMinas" realized by the producer of graffiti, Kika. We try to understand in what ways the experience of belonging to a graffiti group may impact their daily lives, their identities and the implications that it may bring to their privacy. These graffiti producers are young women between 16 and 25 years living and working in the state of Espírito Santo mostly in the capital, Vitória. They print on the walls the practice to construct identity as women gaining ground in a territory so far predominantly male. It´s possible to see graffiti as an element of socio-cultural expression increasingly present in the metropolis.
This research data are constituted by oral sources through semi-structured dialogues used as tools which enabled the researcher to approach naturally in a less formal manner of the graffiti scene and establishing a relationship of trust between the researcher and the researched.
