Summary: This paperwork proposes an investigation about photo manipulation. During the research it is intended to study and reflect about these photos as a mean of contemporary artistic expression and current photographic language, which is not only focused on capturing the image, but also in all its previous and subsequent construction up to the time of the photo. By using David LaChapelles photographs analysis, it is wanted to show how the artist uses manipulation to create images that questions society and awakes ambiguity. It is also intended to understand the relations between the viewer and these images in which are added layers of illusion, that even manipulated, are the proof that in the past there was something there.
