Summary: In this work we approached the emergence of openings in the field of Plastic Arts, which enabled the process of hybridization of the artistic productions that involve the use of sound as sculptural matter. For this, we present the analysis of the process of creation of the work Forty Part Motet, 2001, by canadian artist Janet Cardiff, located at the Instituto Inhotim. We show the elements that constitute his poetics, and thus we can indicate points, or generating images, that become tractions in the development of the trajectory of his productions. We also highlight his partnership George Bures Miller, in the context of productions that acquire new meanings from the relationships with the exhibition environments and the public. The research goes through the research process that involved the search of several physical and virtual documentary sources, the analyses of explicit and implicit declarations of the artist, interviews, published documents, videos and the observations of their works. Information that is understood as documents that indicate your creative process throughout your productions.
