Summary: The dissertation investigates the questions related to the use os th cinema screen in the spaces of contemporary art, how art deconstructs the normative screen of cinema to create new relation between the spectator and the screen form within that environment. Think about the incorporation of the cinematographic device into contemporary art practices, which also involves thinking about how these new practices relate to the viewer. The research is based on na analysis of the use os canvas in art, how easel painting conditioned our eyes, and to investigate also how some practices in contemporary art have sought to deconstruct this logic. Then traces a genealogy of expanded cinema in order to understand the contexto in which this new way of thinking cinema emerged. Finally, the research seeks to analyze Anthony McCalls Line Describing a Cone (1973) to understand its processes, how it used the film form and the reflections that this practice brings.
