Summary: This dissertation presents the work of Fayga Ostrower as an artist and theoretician, seeking to know his abstract graphic production and approaching his vision about art. Has is to investigate the possible relations or contradictions that may exist between their artist and theoretical activities. Fayga Ostrower develops his art by Shed Abstract Art Informal / lyrical, based on the formal construction of the space guided by subjectivity, uniting feeling and reason. His work contributes to the consolidation of modernism in Brazilian art. His reflections cover the understanding of art forms, the processes of creation and dissemination of art. The artist is dedicated to criticism and formal analysis of the artistic object and can provide input to the theories of Gestalt perception. The body of his work, plastic and theoretical points to concerns about the visual language and its appreciation, seeking to understand the concrete and experiential content of the art production.
