Summary: This research presents a dialogue between eroticism and art through two series of artwork Wesley Duke Lee. In the light of different authors, investigates the eroticism definition and Eros symbology in different peoples and cultures. Establishes connecting bridges between the erotic universe and the universe of images through works of European artists from the beginning of modern art. Talks about the cultural route, political and historical, of the 1960s, which led to rethinking of the artistic problem, highlighting the contribution of Wesley Duke Lee and his work for the art of this period. Focuses on the eroticism of the encounter with the national art by the bias of other artists, relating them to their works. Develops hypotheses about the eroticism in the work of Wesley Duke Lee as an additional element of subversion and observes the poetics of the artist as a search for self-knowledge. Undertakes a reading of eroticism in the drawings of the Garter's Series and comments about The Great Spectacle of Arts, first happening in Brazil, which the artist organized to put the works of this series on display and question the standards and the critical art of his time. Analyzes the works of the great series Zone in which Duke Lee shows his fascination with the female universe.
